How to be a Main Character in a Room Full of Main Characters
We all are looking to find our best selves, and it can be hard to feel seen and heard in a room full of others. But being the “Main Character” is about being confident in who you are and moving throughout life unapologetically.
So, what does it mean to be a “main character”?
It’s not about being in drama or control; it is about self-control and carrying yourself in the way that you want to be seen.
Wherever you are, remember always to practice being fully rooted in yourself.
You are the only one who can dictate what it means to be the “best version of yourself.”
I know it can feel like you have to act or look a certain way according to society’s standards. But society has nothing on you; it's just a bunch of fake rules dictated by those who want to control our world. In reality, you are the only one who dictates how you live, how you represent and express yourself, and how you enjoy life.
You don’t need to compete with others to be seen.
Don’t let anyone tell you what makes you feel like your best self. Express yourself in a way that makes you feel the happiest and most confident. Protect your energy from judgment and comparison, and focus on all the fantastic things you are doing. You are amazing and one of a kind; no one can be you. There is no need to be anyone else, because they are already taken.
How do you celebrate others without bringing yourself down?
You first need to permit yourself to feel joy while also wanting to improve without feeling guilty. Instead of comparing your life to theirs, use their accomplishments as motivation and a potential guideline to help you find your calling. Remember, you are on your growth journey, even if it sometimes seems quieter or slower than that of your peers. Remind yourself: This is your journey, and no one else’s.
